Do you want to stand on stage, create laughter and sensations — and at the same time travel across Europe? At Theatre & Revue — Interrail Europa you will have a school year filled with performances, interaction and urban pulse through travels in Europe.

What do you get?
Acting technique & interaction
You learn to listen, play status and build relationships on stage throughout the year. Practice gives you security, presence and better interaction with fellow pupils.
Directing & dramaturgy
Here you get an insight into how rhythm, punchlines and good transitions create scenic flow and dramatic effect. You will be safer in think the whole — from idea to finished performance.
Ethics, rights & safety
Themes such as TONO/NCB, HMS for Body and Voice and Safe Satire is on the programme — you learn how to express yourself scenically with both courage and thoughtfulness. Awareness of rights and responsibilities makes you a safer and more reflective practitioner.
Impro & humor
The course focuses on safe error, playing with the audience and” game of the scene” to develop spontaneity and stage presence - it's about playing honestly, courageously and creatively.
Marketing & audience
On the course, you learn how to reach out to the audience and set up performance that is seen. This gives you experience in thinking holistically from idea to audience in the theatre. You will also learn about poster, SoMe, teaser and ticket sales.
Physical theatre & timing
You will learn techniques in slapstick, clown and precision in movement — a fun and demanding challenge. Mastering timing and physical expression gives you greater stage presence and audience contact.
Production & stage engineering
Behind the scenes happens as much as in front: we learn lights, sound, roadmap and everything that needs to be flapped for the show to work. You will gain insight into the technology that allows room for creative unfolding.
Script & sketch workshop
You work from idea to finished number and get to learn the structure behind good sketches and stage texts. This gives you skills in both text development and implementation on stage.
Set design, costume & quick change
You work with simple, creative costumes and quick scene change — making you aware of how expression, character and pace affect the performance. Visualizing ideas and implementing them provides both mastery and togetherness.
Voice, voice & microphone
We work with voices, diction and singing where it lifts the number — you learn to use the voice. Good microphone use and clear speech are essential on stage.
2 lines
When choosing the line , you also get the option to combine it with one of the lines below.
At Karmøy Folkehøgskule you get a very special school year where you choose two of our 20 lines — and follows both throughout the year. This gives you over 190 possible line combinations, so you can create a year that suits exactly your interests.
You have approximately 40 line days on every line. The rest of the time is filled with common subjects, electives and theme days that provide variety and community in everyday life.
