Student residence
An important part of the college year is life at the student residence. At Karmøy Folk High School we have five residential buildings, all with a small kitchen, laundry room and shared living area.
In total, we have 68 rooms, most are double room with private bathroom. Each residential building has living areas divided by 4—5 rooms, and serve as small communal living rooms where one can gather and relax.
Kitchens are equipped with a stove, fridge, freezer, microwave and kettle, so you can cook simple meals outside of school meals if you wish.
There are washrooms with washer and dryer at each boarding house, as well as ample storage space in the basement.
Your room
Rooms vary slightly in size and appearance. Most of our rooms are double rooms with en suite bathrooms. One of the residential buildings has a completely renovated bathroom.
The rooms contain:
- bed (90x180)
- night table
- wardrobe
- drawers / table
Community at the student residence
All residential buildings have small common rooms for students. Here you can chat, relax or just socialize in everyday life. It is a natural meeting point at the school and is frequently used by students.
In addition, we also have several meeting places on the main building where to spend time together in the afternoon and evening hours.
