Bali
Adrenaline, community and tropical adventure — this is the course for those who want many Different and exciting challenges along with others. You get everything from rafting, skydiving, wind-tunneling, skiing/snowboarding and water sports to a magical study trip to Bali filled with surf, nature and culture.
What do you get?
59° north — our version of 71° north
The course runs “59° North”, a light-edition of 71° North with collaborations and challenges. This is where boats are tested teamwork and perseverance and you get to feel the pleasure of mastering tasks together.

Action on the water
You get to try jet ski, wakeboard, tube, airchair and water ski as part of this year's water sports package. The combination of speed, sea spray and team feeling makes for intense sensations and a lot of laughter.
Cabin tours and environment
We travel on cabin tours with campfires, good food and atmosphere, and cultivates community in nature. This builds security and team feeling, leaving room for calm between the most energetic activities.

Extreme and varied activities
The year includes river rafting, indoor and outdoor climbing, go-cart, skateboarding, clay pigeon shooting, trampling and tumbling. In addition, it is arranged The Amazing Race for cooperation and competition, and mini-triathlon and 3-mile march.

Magical trip to Bali
The study tour goes to Bali, Indonesia with activities, nature experiences and a mix of surf culture, temples, jungle and beach. The tour lasts approx. 14 days, has 2 meals per day included, and is mandatory and included in the course price.
Parachute jump or wind tunnel
On Skydive Voss can you take real tandem jumps from planes, or test wind tunnel as an optional option. This allows you to feel your mastery and high heart rate in a safe and professional arena.

Sea and rescue
You get to experience lifeboat drop — right in the sea from the high crane — and end sessions with swimming and sauna. Focus on safety and experience in and on the water will accompany you throughout the year.

Snow, mountains and freeriding
When winter comes, we go to Røldal Ski Centre, known for lots of snow and coasting. You can vary between skiing and snowboarding, and experience the contrast between sea, mountain and snow in the same school year.

Surfing on tropical waves
Bali is a surfing mecca with conditions for beginners and experienced alike, and the course offers surf course on the journey. You can also surf at home in Norway at Karmøy and Jæren, two of the country's best surfing spots with waves year-round.

Team play and precision
On land waiting hockey, paintball and clay pigeon shooting, which trains both teamwork, tactics and precision. The variety allows you to find new favorites regardless of the starting point.

At Karmøy Folkehøgskule you get a very special school year where you choose two of our 20 lines — and follows both throughout the year. This gives you over 190 possible line combinations, so you can create a year that suits exactly your interests.
You have approximately 40 line days on every line. The rest of the time is filled with common subjects, electives and theme days that provide variety and community in everyday life.
